Snobby, arrogant real estate agent

I made the mistake of calling Andy Taylor for viewing of condos downtown.

Senior Vice President - Sales

I called Andy to view a few units in the Ritz Carlton, he was happy to show me.
(possible high end customer) I was very interested in the units for rent at $5000 a month but I wanted to look in other areas like Yorkville. I asked to be shown more units for rent in Yorkville and was right away passed off to Ian Serota which is fine I don't mind as long as I get to see more units.

Ian Serota, Sales Representative

Assistant to Jim Burtnick & Andy Taylor

I explained to Ian what I explained to Andy that I was looking for units for rent in the $4000-5000 range and wanted to see what's available in different parts of downtown.
Ian set up viewings in Yorkville of only 4 units, he showed me the oldest, run down, empty or vacant units that no one was interested in that were left sitting on the market. I was told that Yorkville is a very hot area and that listings go very quickly and that your best value is to just go with the Ritz Carlton unit. After viewing these less than appealing rentals I asked to view more cause I just wasn't satisfied. He said to me he was going back to the office to find more listings and would email me them asap. This is where I got ignored. Two weeks went by and two emails were sent. The second email I wrote, I am close to listing my house in Lorne Park, Mississauga for $2.25 and am still looking for rentals. Presto ! Mr. Andy Taylor pops back on my call display and leaves me a voice mail that he wants to see how my search is going and if Sotheby's can list my property. I didn't respond to this first call as I was starting to get angry at the fact my emails to Ian the assistant were ignored. Then Andy calls again (Suddenly persistent) and says again would it be possible to have Sotheby's list your property, Oh and how is your search going. I went on to explain that your assistant has ignored two straight emails, it's been over two weeks, I clearly explained I wanted to see more units, not the old unwanted crap that they showed me in an effort to persuade me to rent at the Ritz. I told him I am not interested in your selling my house as you obviously don't show any interest in treating me like a customer until their was a house for sale or I was renting your units for at the Ritz.

I later found another agent and have viewed dozens of beautiful condos for rent, unfurnished and fully furnished in the Yorkville area. I've put my house up for sale, and have a $4700 a month rental unit 1 year lease in the Yorkville area.

I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with these agents as all they care about is who will make them the top dollar. If they feel that you are not, then they will discard you immediately. This is no way to do business. Thank you for reading this review.
